Short Course Meet Schedule Change

The meet schedule for the 2009 - 2010 Short Course season has just been updated. Please note that the GCY Meet
in February 2010 has been dropped from the schedule. The updated schedule is posted on the Meet Information
page. Please note that there may still be changes and/or additions to this schedule at some future date. Any changes
will be updated and posted to the website.

The Rowan Aquatic Club YMCA Swim Team Of Salisbury is a year round YMCA & USA swim team that creates an
environment that believes in teamwork, friendship, fun, healthy competition, good sportsmanship, and a strong sense
of team. The Club seeks to maximize every swimmer's potential by providing a technique-based/goal oriented
program. At RAC we strive to create a love and understanding for the sport of swimming, and all that it can offer
throughout a child's life.
In order to be part of the Rowan Aquatic Club, please contact the head coach Matt Hall, either by phone 704-636-0111
or by email at mhall@rowanymca.com to set up a time for you to bring your child in so they can be evaluated in the
water for correct group placement.

Beginning Friday - Nov 6th and continuing forward, FRIDAY practice for the White, Blue & Junior training groups will
be from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Monday toThursday practice time will remain the same beginning at 6:00 PM.

2010 USRY Short Course Championships

The 2010 Upper Southeast Regional YMCA Swim Championships will be hosted by the Rock Hill YMCA March 19 –
21, 2010. The 13 – 14 and Senior swimmers’ qualifying times have been revised this year. They are mostly between
BB and A, with some being A times. As in previous years, the 11 – 12 and 10 & U qualifying times remain at BB times
or better.

The meet information for the 2010 GYSSA Championships at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough is available
under Meet Information.This meet begins Friday, March 5th. This meet is a closed YMCA meet. All swimmers must
be full privilege members of the YMCA they are representing. Each participant must have competed in at least three
(3) interassociation (closed YMCA) meets (since September 1, 2009) prior to the entry deadline and have met the
entry qualifying standards.
Registration for this meet is now available. The registration deadline is WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17 at 8:00 PM.
